Neev Spencer is the biggest British Asian female broadcaster in the UK, with her award winning shows on KISS FM UK consistently retaining market leadership.
She is loved for her down to earth attitude and larger than life personality. From interviewing pop royalty to actual royalty and charming Hollywood stars to supporting superstar DJs on tour, she’s an entertainment force to be reckoned with.
But what sets Neev apart from the other female voices on radio is not only her innate ability to communicate, but her deep understanding of the audience. Her passion for and knowledge of multiple music genres, combined with her experience as a club DJ give her a credibility not often found in commercial radio.
Neev is frequently asked to DJ for international and UK brands like Nike, Adidas, Selfridges, Smirnoff, London Fashion Week, Red Bull, Nokia, Very, Grazia and Cosmopolitan Magazine. She is also one of KISS FM's most bookable names, touring across the country at major venues and events. And if you were lucky, you might even have spotted her supporting David Guetta in both India and Spain last year.
In 2014 Neev began writing and performing on several UK TV shows and found she had a natural ability for making people laugh. So began her journey into the world of stand up comedy, regularly gigging on the London stand up circuit.
Neev’s main love still lies in the charity work she undertakes, however, and she is a proud ambassador for five UK charities including The Prince’s Trust and the British Asian Trust.
Promoting discussion around mental health has become a particular passion and has seen her speak on the subject at the House of Commons on behalf of the British Asian trust, host the Maternal Mental Health Awards and make a film about her own experience of post-natal depression for Heads Together. She also hosts monthly Facebook Live sessions about mental health and wellbeing for the Prince’s Trust, is soon to become the first celebrity volunteer for the Shout Crisis Text Line and was an integral member of the team behind the radio industry’s hugely effective Mental Health Minute.
If all that wasn’t keeping her busy enough, Neev appeared as an expert panellist on BBC 5 Live’s ‘Mum Takeover’, chaired a debate on youth violence with HRH the Prince of Wales and recently hosted the UK’s first ever Global Citizen Live event.
So it’s no surprise Neev has become known as a broadcaster who isn’t afraid to tackle challenging topics.
In fact, she’s a girl on a mission and whether she’s playing another club banger to a heaving dance floor, joking around on her radio show or giving a speech in front of the Prime Minister, she does it all in her own signature style.
Neev is one to watch – just wait and see what’s next for this rising star!
